Looking back across Collingwood Dock towards the Tobacco Warehouse and Stanley Dock Warehouse, with the bascule bridge giving access to Stanley Dock and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal beyond, as the route passes through Salisbury Dock and turns towards Trafalgar Dock.
Between Salisbury Dock and Trafalgar Dock, the route passes the entrances to the Clarence Graving Docks (dry docks).
Most of Trafalgar Dock had been infilled, but a new channel has been excavated along the eastern side of the dock.
