The channel enters West Waterloo Dock, the northern part of which has also been infilled.
This new bridge across the channel at the northern end of West Waterloo Dock carries a private road giving access to the land between Trafalgar Dock and the Mersey. The railings on the right indicate how pedestrians are not welcome to walk along this part of the Canal Link!
West Waterloo Dock is lined with smart apartment blocks. Behind these are East Waterloo Dock and the Waterloo Dock Warehouse, now converted to apartments.
At the end of West Waterloo Dock, the famous Liver Building comes into view. An anchor forms part of a feature on the dockside behind an old dock gate.
