New head gates were fitted to Elsecar Top Lock, made at Callis Mill on the Rochdale Canal.
The summit pound at Elsecar was restored in 1990 by the Barnsley Canal Group, with help from the Waterway Recovery Group, which led to trail boat rallies taking place here.
