The towpath crosses back again at Lamberts Lane Bridge.
After leaving Congleton, for the next three miles the canal follows a more or less straight line along the hillside. About half a mile west of this gentle curve lies the historic black and white timbered Little Moreton Hall. A new exit from the towpath at Bridge 86 leads to a footpath across the fields to the hall.
